Hey, Nanaimo! White Sails Brewing is here!
Remember the post we made a while back about plans for a new Nanaimo microbrewery and taproom located downtown across from Maffeo Sutton Park?
Well, it’s here.
White Sails Brewing opens its doors tomorrow for growlers, fills, pints, and tastings. The tap room will be open from 11am to 9pm seven days a week – and it looks beautiful.
Visitors will have a selection from four taps. Initially, we are going to have the chance to taste White Sails’ Departure Bay Session Ale, Yellow Point Pale Ale, Mount Benson IPA, and from what I’ve heard, a chocolate porter as well. If the flavours packed into these pours are anywhere close to the names they’ve been given, Nanaimo is in for something special.
I’ll be on the island this weekend to check out the space and taste the suds at White Sails and I hope to see you there!
All the best to Brad and the team at White Sails as they lift anchor to navigate the thrilling seas of craft beer in BC.
